Elizabeth's Chocolate Fudge

7 oz. marshmallow cream
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups white sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 stick margarine

Directions:
Place marshmallow cream, chocolate chips, nuts , and 1 teaspoon in a large mixing bowl and set aside. Combine the sugar, milk, and margarine in a flat-bottomed saucepan. Cook over high heat to the soft ball stage, stirring constantly (a soft ball that you can roll in your hand.) Pour this hot mixture over the chocolate chip mixture in the mixing bowl. Beat until all the chips are dissolved. Pour into a buttered pan and cool before cutting.

Notes:
This recipe is from my mother-in-law, Elizabeth Netz. She will be 90 years old this week.

Love At Home

There is beauty all around
When there's love at home.
There is joy in every sound
When there's love at home.

Roses bloom beneath our feet,
All the earth is a garden sweet,
Making life a bliss complete,
When there's love at home.
