Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar

3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup oats (uncooked)
1/2 cup baking chips of another flavor

Directions:
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside. In a 1-quart canning jar, layer ingredients in the following order from bottom to top: sugar, chocolate chips, brown sugar, flour mixture, oats, other baking chips. Tap jar gently on counter to settle each layer before adding the next layer. Cover with lid, and tie on the baking instructions (below) with a bright-colored ribbon. Makes 1 gift jar

Attach these instructions:
Heat oven to 375°. Empty contents of jar into a large mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, 1 slightly beaten egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix well. Drop dough by heaping teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove cookies to a wire rack to cool. Cool completely to prevent crumbling.

Love At Home

There is beauty all around
When there's love at home.
There is joy in every sound
When there's love at home.

Roses bloom beneath our feet,
All the earth is a garden sweet,
Making life a bliss complete,
When there's love at home.
