Homemade Fabric Paste

4-1/2 tablespoons flour
1-1/2 cups cold water
1-1/2 cups hot water
1-1/2 cups sugar

Directions:
In a saucepan, mix flour and cold water until completely smooth. Heat mixture to a boil, adding hot water as it heats. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. Add sugar and stir well. Allow to cool enough that you can safely apply it. Paste may be kept in the refrigerator in a tightly covered container for about a week.

Notes:
Use to glue fabric to any flat surface, even metal.
