Doughnut Balls


2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Oil for cooking
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Stir flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg together. Make a well in the dry ingredients and place vegetable oil, milk, egg, and vanilla in it. Mix well. Heat 1 inch of oil in a skillet and heat to 375°. Drop dough from a teaspoon into hot oil. Cook until browned. Drain and roll in powdered sugar.
